Infused Water

So, I am down to try anything that claims to have a healthy purpose in this new challenge in getting my life together.  In an attempt to try new things, I attempted the facebook sensation infused water.  This photo of really cool looking canned fruit, which turned out to be fresh fruit left to sit in a bottle or jar of water.  It is only good for sitting for roughly 48 hours, but doesn't fully work if you don't let it sit for at least a couple hours before drinking.  I tried 2 different types of this infused water.  It was interesting to say the least.  The first one I tried was the lemon, lime and cucumber.  No diss for whoever created this concoction but that was the nastiest ish.  It was hard to get the full 8 oz. down.  It made my stomach sick, and made me feel odd.   If the goal of this is to help burn fat by creating a nausea that makes it impossible to eat, mission accomplished.  Definitely not a fan.
The second one I tried included tangerines, grapefruit, mint leaves, and cucumber.  This one was a little better.  I am not a fan of minty beverages, so the person who posted this one suggested I substitute the mint leaves with strawberries.  This was a little more digestable.  It taste like a watered down gatorade.  The way it is supposed to work is that the citrus is a fat burner, and the cucumber makes you feel full.  This one actually works.  If you have a small meal and drink this beverage, you can eat less and still have that full feeling.  The problem was, it didn't last long.  A couple belches and you were ready to eat again.  I found it more useful to drain the water and just eat the fruit.  My opinion, the infused water thing is not for me.
