I have cut out a lot of things from my diet. There are things like junk food because I hear that chips and things do a number on your waste line no matter what the calorie count is. They have a large fat content, and the high sodium definitely doesn't help. I don't have any major health concerns other than being morbidly obese. I don't have diabetes, or high blood pressure of cholesterol. I am simply trying to live a healthier lifestyle so that I do not have to worry about those problems. Some of my family members do have diabetes and high blood pressure. I don't want to have those types of problems. Now, not to go off on a tangent about the things that I do not have or am trying to avoid. This is more about what repercussions I have endured while trying to eat healthier. A part of my being unmotivated to do my work outs is the BGs. Yep I said it. Eating healthier is giving a sister a serious case of the bubble guts. I have to say that I have not felt so regular in my life. I've actually been taking beano to contend with the gas. It helps a little, but some times it is crazy how hard it is to keep from passing gas in the most inopportune places. All I can say is thank goodness for working in an office alone. I am some times embarrassed that if some of my co-workers are coming into my office and I'm fighting the urge to let one go. Yes go ahead and laugh because it is funny. I'm hoping that I can get that part under control. The simple fact that my system is not used to all these veggies and things may be the problem. It's funny because I am embarrassed even typing it. So not only do I have muscle pains, but I also have gas all the time. I'm exhausted for long periods of time, and at times I am going through bouts of depression because either one I am not losing the weight as quickly as I would like, or I don't see results when I feel like I am working really hard. People are so quick to tell you about how great it is when you lose the weight, but the emotional toll that the process takes on some people, including me is crazy. I am excited when I notice the muscle definition returning in certain parts of my body, and ashamed to see the flab flapping on others. I haven't quite figured out what I can do to combat the emotional ups and downs that I am going through, but it is what it is. Before anyone starts wondering, I am not bi-polar, have never really suffered from depression or any other mental health problem, so this emotional roller coaster is definitely difficult to decipher through. I will keep pushing and hopefully those closest to me will give me a pass on some of the crazy things that I am going through.
Good night, and good health
Kisha
